MPO/MPO connectors have male and female design. Male connectors have two guide pins and female connectors do not.
Cable Difference - LSZH&Riser | Bunch&Ribbon
The MPO/MPO fiber optic trunk cables are designed with different cable jackets and cable structures according to customers' requirements.

LSZH cable has a special flame-retardant coating, flamed with low smokeand low toxicity, used between floors in a building. Bunch cable is with round shape and hard to break, can rotate for 360 degree.

Riszer cable resistant to oxidation and degradation, flamed with heavy black smoke, commonly used for horizontal runs from the wiring center. Ribbon cable is made of many wires runing parallel to each other on a flat plane, suitable for aerial lashed, duct, or direct buried applications.

Guidelines for Fiber Polarity - 12F and 24F
The three polarity methods A, B and C as defined in TIA-568-C, for their part, are used to guarantee the right bi-directional allocation.
